In a move aimed at facilitating a smoother travel experience for devotees heading to the sacred Pachmarhi Nagdwar Yatra in Madhya Pradesh, the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has rolled out continuous bus services from Nagpur’s Ganeshpeth main bus stand. Starting Sunday, July 20, buses will operate every 30 minutes in the afternoon and every 15 minutes at night to accommodate the influx of pilgrims.
The yatra, a major spiritual event led by Swami to the revered Nagdwar shrine, officially commenced on Saturday, July 19. However, tensions rose when, despite being hours away from the pilgrimage, the Madhya Pradesh administration was yet to issue the necessary travel clearance. The delay sparked outrage among devotees, which was prominently highlighted by Lokmat Times in its Friday, July 18 edition.
Promptly responding to the issue raised in the media, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis intervened by directly contacting his Madhya Pradesh counterpart, Mohan Yadav. Following this high-level communication, the matter saw swift resolution. By Friday night, the Madhya Pradesh Transport Authority granted the required permission, enabling MSRTC to begin its dedicated transportation services for the yatra.
