Keeping alive the legacy of excellence and awarding the high academic as well as sports achievers, Somalwar High School & Jr. College, Nikalas branch held its Annual Prize Distribution ceremony on 27th December at the aesthetically decorated school premises. It was on endeavor to acknowledge and award students for their continuing saga of glorious achievements in the academic & sports for the session 2017-18.
The evening programme commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp by the chief guest the esteemed Dr. Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay, commissioner of police along with the President Adv. M. L. Somalwar sir and the management member of Somalwar Academy of education Society to seek the blessings of God which was followed by a beautiful melodious Nikalas Maharaj Stavan. The sublime energy of rhythm and melody enthralled the audience.
The Chief Guest Dr. Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay in his address told the importance of our rich culture, heritage. Importance of our mother, mother-tongue and mother land. He also emphasizes the importance and understanding of emotional quotient and spiritual quotient. After the Principal Mr. V. Joshi read the annual report .Respected Shri Mahesh Somalwar, member Somalwar Academy of Education Society guided the students, which was followed by the prizes distribution ceremony.
The programme which was compared by Mrs. Nilesha Nandurdikar was attended by parents, students and the entire teaching and non teaching staff. The grand spectacle came to a close with a vote of Thanks by the gathering in-charge Mrs. S. Mohod followed by ‘Pasaydan’ by the students.
