Shivputra Sambhaji’ enthralls allÂ
‘Shivputra Sambhaji’ , an artistic masterpiece based on the life Sambhaji received overwhelming response in the city. The drama lovers and those with penchant for historical genre were delighted with the performances and presentation. The last play was staged at Reshimbagh ground on December 28.  This grand drama was staged for the first time in Vidarbha, which was nothing short of a visual feast for the art lovers. The historical drama was brought alive on stage by Madhyam Lokseva Pratishthan and Mohan Matey Mitra Parivar. Amol Kolhe played the role of Sambhaji. The mega-drama has been produced to introduce the new generation about Sambhaji Maharaj. So far this drama has been staged 136 times in Maharashtra, Shivaputra Sambhaji drama staged 136 shows till today. However, it was the first time when this play was staged in this region.
CP visits court, reviews security arrangements.
In the wake of two attacks within five days at district court, Nagpur’s commissioner of police Dr Bhushankumar Upadhyaya visited the court to review the security arrangements. Upadhyaya has decided to provide additional police force on the court premises to beef up security and avoid untoward incidents in future. The additional CP B J Gaykar, superintendent of police (rural) Rakesh Ola, deputy commissioner of police (crime) Sambhaji Kadam, deputy commissioner of police zone-2 Chinmay Pandit accompanied him. He discussed the security arrangement issue with chief district and session court judge S B Savle. He assured to keep strict vigil on the parking space and the lift used by the judges. It was also decided to deploy additional police force on the court premises. It is pertinent to note that on December 22, an advocate Nokesh Bhaskar attacked Adv Sadanand Narnavre with an axe and later committed suicide by consuming poison. Adv Narnavre is battling for his life in hospital. On December 27, Additional government pleader Dipesh Parate attacked senior civil judge Kiran Deshpande, putting a serious question mark on the security arrangements at the court.

Additional Chief Conservator of Forests (Finance, Planning and Development) Nitin Kakodkar has been appointed as Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife). The present principal chief conservator of forest (Wildlife) AK Mishra is retiring on December 31. Kakodkar would take his place. Revenue and forest department has issued the promotion and transfer order of 41 forest officials along with Kakodkar on Friday. Nitin Kakodkar is a 1987 batch IFS officer.
