Chief Minister  Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday e-inaugurated 111 water supply schemes worth Rs 88.27 crore at a function held at the divisional commissioner, Nagpur at 11 am. Minister for water supply and sanitation Babanrao Lonikar and guardian minister of Nagpur district Chandrashekhar Bawankule graced the occasion.
All the schemes will be ru run in six districts of Nagpur division, which include 44 in Nagpur, 1 in Wardha, Bhandara-16, Gondia-10, Chandrapur-32 and Gadchiroli-8. These schemes will be implemented under Rashtriya Gramin Peyjal Yojana and Mukhyamantri Gramin Peyjal Yojana.
Interacting with the media persons, Fadnavis said as many as 8000 water supply schemes got completed during the last four years and 10,000 more are under different phases.
These schemes would benefit 20,000 villages, he added.
We are providing internet connectivity to 26,000 gram panchayat by January 26 and then all these GPs will be connected to Mantralaya, the CM said. All these water supply schemes will be run on solar power, Fadnavis informed.
Fadnavis then interacted with public representatives, collectors, ZP presidents, sarpanchs and other officials through video conferencing of the six districts. Union Minister Hansraj Ahir also joined the video conferencing from Chandrapur.
