A Workshop on Remodeled structure of Assessment for Secondary Classes: Building Awareness was held for teachers at Narayana Vidyalayam on January 12, 2019. The resource persons for the session were Mrs. Anju Bhutani – Principal Bhavans, Civil lines, Nagpur and Ms. Rupali Dey – Vice Principal Modern School, Nagpur. The session began with the lighting of the lamp and welcoming of the guests by the Principal Mrs. Mala Chembath. The session highlighted one of the challenges and solutions of the Remodeled Structure of Assessment which included the discussions about periodic assessments and the preparations of questions papers, objectives of maintaining notebooks and types of work that may be done in the notebooks, rubrics of notebook assessment and it also threw light on the Subject Enrichment activities for each subject for enhancing the teaching-learning process.
Co-Scholastic assessments, maintaining HPE (Health and Physical Education), SEWA, and Discipline, Attendance, and the Sixth Additional Subject and its importance were the other aspects which were highlighted in this session. The session was quite interactive and activity based. It was very enriching and acted as an eye-opener. It culminated with the vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Anupama Tiwary.
