Bhoomipujan of renovation works preformed
The clinics and hospitals run by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation have given a lease of life to a number of patients. These institutions have provided medical assistance to lakhs of the citizens for generations when there were no private hospitals in large numbers in the city. However, these hospitals and clinics are facing several problems and it is hi time to come to their rescue, said Guardian Minister of the district Chandrashekhar Bawankule.
He was speaking after performing the bhoomipujan of renovation work of Indira Gandhi Dispensary on North Ambazari Road in the city on Tuesday. Mayor Nanda Jichkar, MLC Parinay Fuke, Deputy Mayor Deepraj Pardikar, Leader of Ruling Party in NMC Sandeep Joshi, corporator Dr Parinita Fuke, Rutika Masram, Amar Bagde, President, Maharashtra Labour Welfare Board Munna Yadav, Additional Municipal Commissioner Ravindra Thakre, Ram Joshi, Aziz Sheikh, Deputy Director, Health Dr K B Tumane, Health Officer Dr Bhawana Sonkusale, Dr Gurmit Singh of Caring India, Dr Pravin Gantawar, Jayprakash Gupta and Ramesh Girde graced the occasion.
Speaking further Bawankule said, Â NMC has taken the initiative to renovate the Indira Gandhi Dispensary. It is therefore necessary that there are modern equipment in the dispensary. The State government will give Rs 2 crore for the purpose, Bawankule announced.
A cancer diagnosis kit ‘Can Kit’ was dedicated to the public on the occasion. The kit helps to detect cancer within five minutes.
Mayor Jichkar and other guests also spoke on the occasion.
