Narayana Vidyalayam celebrated the 70th Republic Day of our country on January 26, 2019 in the school premises. The patriotic fervour warmed up the cold winter morning as the teachers, parents and children of the school enthusiastically gathered to hoist the National Flag. The Principal Mrs. Mala Chembath unfurled the Tri-colour which was followed by the March Past comprising the contingents of the four houses of the school; viz: Nehru house, Patel house, Shastri house and Tagore house.
The Principal Mrs. Mala Chembath in her address to the gathering expressed pride in the rich cultural heritage of the country. She urged every student to work with honesty and dedication for the nation and not to be misled. This was followed by medley of patriotic songs, speeches in Hindi, English, Sanskrit and Marathi. The occasion marked spectacular performances by the students in the form of dance – dramas, Yoga, pyramid formations, gymnastics, skating, taekwondo, regional dances and instrumental treat of patriotism.
The occasion was also graced by the presence of the school Director Col. U. K. Chembath who has always been the motivating force of the institution. The celebration culminated with the Vote of thanks proposed by the school Head Boy Sumedh Chaudhary followed by National Song.
