The Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), the college for practising managers since 1956, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Maharashtra State Power Gen Co Ltd (MAHAGENCO) for a long-term collaboration at a small ceremony at ASCI’s headquarters, Bella Vista, in Hyderabad.
According to the MoU, ASCI will conduct 10 management development programmes for MAHAGENCOÂ senior executives from March 2019 to April 2020.
The power company’s senior and middle-level executives will be trained in the areas including managerial and leadership development, strategic management, innovation and creativity, and corporate social responsibility.
Vinod Bondre, Executive Director (HR) MAHAGENCO and Kalyan K Roy, Registrar, ASCI signed the MoU on behalf of their respective companies.
Anand Abarao Kont, General Manager (HR), Dilip Dhakate, Chief Engineer, Koradi Training Centre, of MAHAGENCO and Prof Nirmalya Bagchi, Dean of Research Studies and Prof B Lakshmi, Director, Centre for Human Resource Development, at ASCI were also present.
“In addition to competency development of senior level executives in the form of transformational leadership programme and advanced management programme, customised capacity building programmes with international exposure tours will also be conducted to enhance the company’s competitive strategy,†Prof Lakshmi said.
“MAHAGENCO officers appreciated training schedule and ambiance of ASCI, terming it as a nice organisation in managerial training,†said Vinod Bondre.
