“Either put in hard efforts or make compromises in life by deriving pleasures from petty things. Think about long term goals, not short term goals”, said Chief Guest, Shri Dinesh Raybhanji Patil, Accountant General (Accounts & Entitlement)-II, Nagpur. He was speaking at the Blessing Ceremony Aashirvachanam – the Age-Old Guru-Shishya tradition which was organized at Bhavan’s Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir, Ashti, on 9th Feb. 2019. In this ceremony, the outgoing students of Class-XII were blessed and made to promise to tread on the path of honesty, humanity and spread knowledge and wisdom gained from the alma mater.

Chief Guest, Shri Dinesh Raybhanji Patil, in his address, shared his experiences of his student life and how he cracked civil service exam. He said, “Intelligence, brilliance are of no use. The only thing that matters is hard work. The more you work, the more successful you become.” While telling the importance of innovation, he quoted Jeff Bezoz, the richest person in the world – “I believe you have to be willing to be misunderstood if you are going to be innovative.”
Earlier, the programme commenced with Sarva Dharma prayer followed by lighting of the traditional lamp. All the dignitaries offered floral tribute to the portrait of Goddess Saraswati, Kulapati Late Shri K.M. Munshi, Founder, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, and School Patron, Late Shri Bhagwandasji Purohit.
Teachers, Mrs Abira Sur (Science Stream) and Mrs Suchi Ralhan (Commerce Stream) read out the citations describing the students’ aspirations, strengths and hidden talents. They also blessed the students wishing them ‘All the Best’ for their forthcoming exams and future endeavours.
Principal Smt. Vandana Bisen, in her address told an inspirational and motivating story of a Japanese industrialist Konosuke Matsushita emphasizing the value of hard work and self belief. Even after facing many difficulties in life, he ultimately achieved success and founded Panasonic, the largest Japanese Electronics Company. “Secret of success is – never ever give up. In pursuit of success believe in yourself. No one can destroy iron but its own rust can”, like wise no one can destroy a person but ones own mindset can.!†she added earnestly. She also urged students to have faith in themselves and wished the students All the Best for their future journey of life. She exhorted the students from ‘The Upanishada’ wherein the students were administered an oath to imbibe and execute the values and principles of life and students promised to follow them in their lives.
On this occasion, two parents expressed their feelings of gratitude and indebtedness to the school.  Mrs Sarika Chaturvedi thanked the school for shaping the life of her children through academics and cocurricular activities. She also said that she witnessedÂ
Mr Biju Joseph asserted that he was very proud to admit his son in one of the best schools of Nagpur. On the eve of Saraswati Puja, the students of Std. XII gifted an idol of Goddess Saraswati which was unveiled at the hands of Dr. Sunanda Sonarikar
Mrs Hiba Quazi, Mrs Tabassum Ali and Mrs Chandni Mathur conducted the proceedings while Mrs Vijaya Patil proposed a vote of thanks. Overall In-charge Ms Madhumita Chuckerbutty and Mrs Ranjana Behl along with teaching and non-teaching staff worked hard under the able guidance of Principal Smt.
