Quiz contest, rally give message of cleanliness
Equi City team working in the city since February 2016 spread the message of cleanliness among the students and created public awareness with the help of education department.
Cleanliness drive was implemented in various schools run by Nagpur Municipal School (NMC). Quiz competition was organised in each school, where questions related to cleanliness were asked to the students. The students later took out a public awareness rally.
The rally passed through nearby residential areas spreading message of cleanliness. In one of the programmes a film showing segregation of garbage, hygiene and cleanliness was screened.
Students of Jaitala Marathi Medium School (Zone No 1), Walmiki Nagar Hindi Medium Middle School (Zone No 2), Durga Nagar Marathi Middle School (Zone No 3), Barrister Sheshrao Wankhede Middle School (Zone No 4), Dattatray Middle School (Zone No 5), Ganjipeth Urdu Middle School (Zone No 6), Kundanlal Gupta Urdu Middle School (Zone No 7), Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya Middle School (Zone No 8), Kapil Nagar Marathi Middle School (Zone No 9) and Makardhokda Hindi Middle School (Zone No 10) participated in the rally.
The campaign aimed at reaching 50,000 people and make them aware about cleanliness. The team of Equi City visited various residential areas and commercial establishments and created cleanliness awareness. During the drive, 700 people registered positive feedback about cleanliness. Along with the team of Equi City team, head masters and teachers of the school rendered co-operation for the cleanliness drive and awareness programme.
