Aiming towards the progress of the students, The Achievers School, Manish Nagar, ventured into yet another innovation. Director, Sapna Katiyar along with Centre Head, Sharmila Muthye, had organised a 4 day workshop on phonics recently, at the preschool campus.
Since children are taught to read words through phonetics, Director, Sapna Katiyar as well Sharmila Muthye, the Centre Head, thought it would be beneficial to acquaint the parents with ‘Phonics’ as it would help them teach their children to read with ease. Parents were taught the basic sounds of letters, vocabulary building, blend sounds, sight words and the different rules to be kept in mind while reading. The parents also showed active participation by constructing stories from three letter words through interesting activities.
The parents were quite delighted and showed an overwhelming response.
