Maharashtra State board class 12th board (HSC) examination would begin from February 21.
As many as 1.66 lakh students will be appearing in the exam from Nagpur division comprising six districts that of Nagpur, Bhandara, Gondia, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli and Wardha. The examination would be conducted through 468 centers across the division, informed board officials. Of the total number of students appearing for the examinations, 86564 are boys, 79654 girls and 17 transgenders.
A total of 65,474 students will be appearing from Arts faculty, 69,926 from Science, 22,635 students from commerce stream and 8,200 students from MCVC stream, informed the board officials.
Besides, the police department has imposed Section 144 at all the examination centers to avoid use of unfair means or any malpractice during the examination. State Board Divisional Chairman Ravikant Deshpande informed that six flying squads have been formed, for vigilance, who would be visiting the examination centres right from the first day. Our focus is to conduct the examination in smooth and peaceful manner, Deshpande, said.
