Vidarbha recorded an emphatic 44-run victory over Rajasthan in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali T-20 Cricket Tournament at Surat on Monday.
This is third victory for Vidarbha in a row. Vidarbha won the toss and elected to bat first. They were all out for 117 in 16.5 overs. Jitesh Sharma top scored with 49 hitting seven boundaries and one six. Opening batsman Atharwa Taide (23, 16b, 2×4, 1×6) and left handed Ravi Jangid (14) were other scorers. For Rajasthan, SK Ahmed claimed five wickets haul conceding 18 runs in 2.5 overs.
In reply, Rajasthan lost their wickets at regular interval and were bowled out for 73 in 16.5 overs. Thanks to Vidarbha spinner Akshay Karnewar who snared four wickets conceding 17 runs. Ravi Jangid and Atharwa Taide got two each. For Rajasthan, only MN Singh (24) and Robin Bist (22) showed some resistance.
