Addl DGFT Rajivlochan interacts with exim traders, VIA members

Ms Meeta Rajivlochan, Additional Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Mumbai, visited the city for the first time after assuming the charge and interacted with exporters and importers and members of Vidarbha Industries Association (VIA) at VIA Auditorium, Civil Lines on Monday.

She informed the exporters about incentives on exports to be increased, upcoming foreign trade policy and schemes of DGFT. She said she will take initiative and recommend that in the coming mid-term policy incentives to be increased.

She asked all the leading the banks, customs, DGFT and ECGC to come forward and form a committee to organise awareness programmes on exports ” on regular basis under Niryat Bandhu Scheme to clear the doubts of startups and prospective exporters of the region.

She informed that she will take up the issues related to electronically bank realisation certification (EBRC), online issues related to custom, JNPT, GST in the monthly meeting of Custom Departments. She said exporters will get exemption in IGST till March 31, 2019 and she will take efforts to extend it.

Shambhaji Chavan, Deputy DGFT, Mumbai stressed if any exporter has any grievance, clarification related to policy they may submit their query online for suitable and immediate reply.

Earlier, Atul Pande, President; VIA welcomed Sambhaji Chavan, Dy DGFT, Mumbai and Aditya Saraf, Vice President – VIA welcomed  Meeta Rajivlochan, IAS, Addl DGFT, Mumbai with floral bouquets. Atul Pande in his welcome address briefed about the VIA and our relations with DGFT since its inception, DGFT had setup their extension counter at VIA premises, Nagpur.

Gaurav Sarda, Chairman of VIA EXIM Forum delivered the introductory speech. Pratik Tapadia, Chairman; VIA Knowledge Forum; conducted the question and answer session and also proposed a vote of thanks.

R R Borikar, Assistant DGFT, Nagpur, Dr Suhas Buddhe, Secretary; VI,; Former Vice Presidents of VIA Prashant Mohota and O S Bagadia, Mayank Jain from Suruchi Spices, Vaibhave Agrawal besides representatives from exporting units C Chitra from Diffusion Engineers Ltd, P K Raut from Sunflag Iron & Steel; Sunila B G from Haldiram Foods International; Sudeep Kothari from Shah Nanji Nagsi Exports; C K Khushwah, Indorama Synthetics, Manoj Gattani from Mahalaxmi Coal Pvt Ltd, R C Plasto; Nitin Vaidhya from ECGC Ltd., were prominently present.
