G H Raisoni College of Engineering, Department of First Year Engineering had organised a Guest Lecture on “Waste Management â€Â for the second semester B.E. students under the aegis of first year forum “FAITHâ€Â on  March 05, 2019.
The orators for the event were President, Swacch Association, Anasuya Kale Chhabrani, and Secretary Swacch Association, Shefali Dudhawade,. The very first step was to create awareness by delivering talks at various forums and meetings.
The lecture was highlighted by giving information about what are the different types of waste such as organic waste, recyclable waste, inert waste, electronic waste, hazardous waste and bio-medical waste. They also informed the students on how to separate waste from house. The orators gave various solutions on segregation and have asked the students to start composting waste at home. Their motive is to offer and come forward to bridge the gap between Citizens- Govt Bodies-NGO’s.
