Vidarbha stunned defending champions Delhi by 9 wickets in the super league stage of Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 match at Holkar Stadium in Indore on Friday.
Vidarbha won the toss and decided to field first. Their bowlers did a wonderful job and bundled out Delhi for a paltry 83. India pacer Unesh Yadav, Shrikant Wagh, Yash Thakur and left arm spinner Akshay Karnewar claimed two wickets each. For Delhi only opening batsman Hiten Dalal (42) and Pawan Negi (18) managed to cross the double figures.
When Delhi were struggling on 20 for 5 they made 54 run partnership for sixth wicket
In reply Vidarbha achieved the target in 8.3 overs losing just one wicket. Opening pair Jitesh Sharma (41) and Atharwa Taide (32 not out) ensured an easy win. Shalabh Shrivastava remained not out on 8.
