Left arm spinner Parth Rekhade claimed six wickets as Vidarbha thrashed Maharashtra by seven wickets to enter the semifinals in Under-23 One Day League at Gymkhana ground in Hyderabad on Sunday.
Battinf first after winning the toss Maharashtra were all out for just 101 in 30.2 overs. Rekhade troubled the batsmen and captured six wickets for 34 runs. N Parande, Aditya Thakre and Atharwa Deshpande got one each. For Maharashtra only MS Trunkwala (48) and Swapnil Fulpagar ( 11) showed some resistance.
In reply Vidarbha achieved the target losing just three wickets in 28.4 overs. Mohit Kale scored 37 whereas Nayan Chavan remained not out on 24. For Maharashtra IA Syed took two wickets.
