Former MP Nana Patole, who has been nominated by the Congress to contest from Nagpur Lok Sabha constituency, was accorded a rousing reception on his arrival for the first time after being given the ticket. Congress leaders and party workers from different facitons were present at Nagpur railway station to receive Patole.
Almost entire working committee of Nagpur City and District Congress Committee led by Vikas Thakre was present. Besides, senior Congress leaders Gev Awari, Ashok Dhawad, Vishal Muttemwar and others were also present.
Patole who had earlier represented Bhandara-Gondia constituency on BJP ticket, had quit the party and his Lok Sabha seat after criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi and entire BJP leadership, later joined the Congress.
