Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Management Studies and Research has always believed in creating the foundation for the righteousness. Following the legacy, the students of BBA, BCCA, MCM decided to help the society in whatever little way they can.
After due deliberation and considering several places in consultation with the activity in-charge Dr. Monika Jain and Dr. Saket Bansod, Matoshree Vridhashram was finalized. It houses almost 75 old residents near Adasa. Students started collection from all their colleagues, peers and Teachers who were very much willing to donate for such a noble cause. It was decided that the team will be donating a pack of bedsheet and essential toiletries to each individual resident of the vridhashram.
A team of 20 students volunteered to come with the core team of students and teachers. On the day of the visit everyone was quite enthusiastic to visit the place. Matoshree Vridhashram is set among the nature and has a quiet and serene atmosphere. While the team DAIMSR visited the vridhashram a team of doctors in association with Lodge Trimurty no. 294 was having an eye checkup camp at that place as well.
After coordinating with the caretakers students arranged for the distribution of packets which were made well in advance. The residents were really happy to see so many youngsters visiting them they felt overwhelmed and joyous. After distributing some packets students visited all the rooms to meet all the residents for interaction and sweet distribution.
All the residents of the old age home were happy to interact with the team they also clicked selfies with the students to capture the memories. The infectious smile on their faces while interacting made the hard work worth it Many of the students got emotional while talking to the Vridha residents. The students came with packets of items to be donated and left with a heart full of memories.
All students thanked the faculties in-charge and management of Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Management Studies and Research for giving them a platform to experience the joy of giving.
