Pooja Hirwade, a senior disciple of Guru Smt Ratnam Janardhanan and a recipient of Young Artist Scholarship by Ministry of Culture performed Solo Bharatnatyam at Articulate Mysore Festival organized by Articulate Trust of Arts. The festival was organized by Senior Guru Mysore Nagaraj of Mysore at the Been Sheshanna Bhavana. The show was graced by reputed exponents in the field of Classical Dance and a learned audience.
Pooja performed an elaborate Daru Varnam which was set to Kamas Ragam and Adi Thalam composed by H N Mutthaya Buagavathar. The composition was a prayer to Meenakshi Devi and incorporated various stories like Mahishasura vadh to highlight her glories.
The later half of the performance comprised of verses taken from Saundarya Lahiri which portrayed the NAVA RASAS as felt by goddess Parvathi when she looks at her Nayaka i.e Lord Shiva.
Pooja was felicitated for her performance at the hands of Mysore Nagaraj (Festival Director).
