Jhulelal Group of Institutions had recently organized its national level technical festival SHIKHAR 2019. The two day mega event got an overwhelming response for the tenth consecutive year. SHIKHAR provides a platform to innovate and put forth students’ ideas in the field of Engineering, Management and Architecture.
Executive Director of a UK company Liberty Steel Groups, GFG Alliance, Rahul Yenurkar, was the chief guest. He addressed the students regarding the job prospects in MNCs and the prerequisites for the same. He also motivated the students to think out of the box and have a smart and a different approach towards life and work. He emphasized upon the importance of discipline and sincerity in order to achieve the goals.
The tech-fest received an overwhelming response from more than 1500 students from Engineering, Architecture and Management Institutions in Central India who came together on a single platform to compete in various events and crown themselves as the best. There were around 20 technical events like Paper Presentation, Project Competition, Robo Soccer, Drag It, Tech Model United Nations (MUN), Code Marathon, Circuit Mania and Mathemagic to name a few.
Insomniac, an overnight coding competition, in collaboration with Persistent Systems was organized wherein the winners get an opportunity for internship with the esteemed company. Workshops on Internet of Things (IoT), Web Designing, ORCAD and MATLAB were also conducted under SHIKHAR. The technical extravaganza was technically co-sponsored by ISTE, Persistent Systems, Department of Robotics & Cloud Computing-RTMNU and Career Cadd. 94.3 My FM was the media partner.
Chairman, Mahesh Sadhwani, Secretary, Virendra Kukreja, Treasurer, Jayprakash Sahajramani, Director, Pramod Wairagade, Director, Praveen Balany, Director-Technical, Pramod Pampatwar, Director-HR and Administration, Madhavi Wairagade, Principal-JIT, Dr. Narendra Bawane, Principal-JIA, Prof. Ravi Nafde, and Vice Principal-JIT, Dr. Debashish Bhowmick, were prominently present at the occasion.
HOD, Department of Electronics and Telecommunications, Prof. Mayuri Chawla  was the convener of SHIKHAR 2019. The tech-fest was conducted successfully under the guidance and support of the management body. Student Co-ordinator, Prof. Apeksha Yadav worked hard for the success of the event.
