With summer setting in, mercury has crossed 43 degree Celsius in Nagpur and surrounding areas. The Orange City recorded a maximum temperature of 43.2 degree Celsius, which was 5 notches higher than the normal average tempeture.
According to met officials Nagpur is experiencing heatwave during day over the last 48 hours. The maximum temperature would go up further in days to come.
Prominent roads, which usually remain crowded in day time, wore a deserted look between 12 noon and 3 pm. People preferred to stay indoor to combat blistering heat. Wardha was the second hottest place in the region after Nagpur with 43 degree Celsius.
The night temperature continue to hover around 24 degree Celsius.
