Students of G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Amravati  Sachin Chaudhari and Hrushikesh Bihade got the first prize in National Level Project Competition 2019 under the ‘Stat-Up Fest’ Organized by Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. They did the innovation was Animal repellent lantern. The main objective of behind the subject is to protect crops from animals and reduce the damage to crops without harming the environment or animals. As we know, in India agriculture is primary occupation.
In India generally, agriculture fields locate near the age of forest. And due to location of fields, animals like Deer Nilgai and Wild Boar etc. creates huge damage to fields. So many farmers use different techniques to protect their fields.
Many of farmers today use electrical fencing to protect their crops, this is illegal. Many animals are dead due to the usage of electrical fencing. Therefore they had used ethical methods with some modifications which will not only save crops but also will not harm the wild animals and not disturb their habitat.
Everybody knows that animals have fear of fire. Therefore keeping this on mind Sachin and Hrushikesh  used fire illusion technique  on their innovation . It beings to create a fear and automatically animals stay away from the farm.
Along with it they were also added Pin Sensor. Which sense the animal and trigger alarm system for controlling it. Â Students got this achievement under the motivation of Principal Dr. Vijay Rathod and project guide Prof. Chetan Babade , HoD Electrical Department .
