BJP stalwart and Union Minister for Transport, Shipping and Ganga Rejuvenation, Nitin Gadkari, has claimed he has delivered more than what he has promised to the electorate in 2014 elections. The Nagpur city is being developed as smart city with many new and basic facilities like sewage treatment plant, rain water harvesting, public garden, playground for children, ample parking areas, solar energy projects and traffic signal installations.
State Energy Minister, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, releasing the manifesto for the 2019-2024 period in presence of former MP Ajay Sancheti, Legislators Sudhakar Deshmukh, Girish Vyas and Sudhakar Kolhle, said Gadkari is a visionary leader and about 20,000 youths have been provided with direct and indirect employment opportunities in Nagpur district as Patanjali Herbal, HCL and other top companies have set up their units here.
Bawankule said Indian Institute of Management (IIM), National Law University have already started working here while the prestigious Pune institution, Symbiosis International University has been allocated land by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation which is coming up here in city. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed
with RTM Nagpur University where 25 of seats will be reserved for local students and and local students will get a benefit of 15 percent discount in tuition fees, he said.
Due to efforts of Gadkari , the construction of 3000 houses out of 10,000 planned, has already started under the Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojna for the poor section of society.
A sanction has been accorded to set up 1000 bed All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) with international facilities for patients from the central region.The Ajni Railway is being developed as Inter Multi Modal Station which will include Railways, Metro Railways and Bus terminal near the Central Prison.
