Nagpur : The wait to get admission to top schools under Right to Education (RTE) is set to be over after first phase of voting. The Primary Education Department has completed the draw process of on Monday and allotment of seat to deserving applicant will be done on Tuesday. According to officials SMS would be send to all the applicants on their respective registered mobile number.
The admission process would start after first phase of Lok Sabha election on April 11. All the teaching and non-teaching staff of school and staff of education department are currently busy in election duty. Therefore, it was not possible to start admission process before April 11. Now, it has been decided to start admission process from the next day of first phase of polling i.e. from April 12. Before it detail admission process schedule would be released.
It is pertinent to note here that the education department had conducted draw at Pune instead of district level because of election. Till last year department used to take out draw at district level.
Parents have been waiting for the draw to open since March 5. This year 26840 online application were submitted for 7243 seat in 675 schools in Nagpur district.
