The Rashtrasant Tukadogi Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has once again failed to mark its presence in the list of top 100 universities in the country.
The Union Human Resources Development Ministry has released National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) on Monday.
According to the NIRF list, Vishvesaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) Nagpur has maintained its position 31 this year as well.
Other name that made it to the list includes, Pune University at 10th position while Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University got 85th position in the list.
Under NIRF, there are separate rankings for different types of institutions depending on their area of operations like university and colleges, engineering institutions, pharmacy and architecture institutions.
Where Nagpur University fails to make its place in university category, the Laxminarayan Institute of Technology (LIT) got 122 spot among top 200 engineering colleges and Pharmacy department got 29th position and Bhoyer Pharmacy got 59th rank in top 50 Pharmacy colleges.
This year five engineering and technology colleges, two pharmacy and one MBA college of Nagpur were able to make it to the national ranking.
GH Raisoni engineering college has found place at the 111th followed by Ramdeo Baba college of Engineering and Management at 112th position.
