Nagpur: Smt. Neha Thombre, a hostel warden of National Law University, Nagpur on Thursday solo performed the ‘Krantijyoti Savitribai’ historical drama at panchasheel Buddha Vihar, Pratapnagar, Nagpur.
Many members of the Budhha vihar community and junior college students were present on this occasion.
Neha Thombre performed various aspects of Jyotirao Phule and Savitribai Phule’s life through the historical drama and emphasized the importance of women’s education whose foundation was laid by Jyotirao and Savitribai Phule.
So far this solo act has been presented in eight programs organized by various social organizations in Nagpur and other districts.
Members of Vihar felicitated Neha Thombre for the presentation of ‘Krantijyoti Savitribai’ solo act and also expressed best wishes for future.
Savitribai  was an Indian social reformer and poet. Along with her husband, Jyotirao Phule she played an important role in improving women’s rights in India during British rule.
