Taywade College, Koradi overcame Bapurao Deshmukh College by eight wickets to enter final of Inter College Cricket Tournament organised by the Department of Sports and Physical Education at Taywade College ground.
In the final Taywade College will take on Dhanwate National College. Batting first Bapurao Deshmukh College were all out for just 81 runs before getting all out in 16.5 overs. Taywade College’s Yadav (3-9) and Abhishek Gupta (3-5) pushed the batsmen to the wall with excellent control. They got a decent support from Ashlesh Wagde (2-22).
Bapurao Deshmukh College’s top-order batsman Pavitra scored highest 30 runs. Raj Bista (14) made some useful contribution.
In reply, Taywade College achieved the target scoring 82 for 2 in 14.5 overs. Neeraj Sharma (26) was the top scorer.
Later, Updesh Rajput (21) and Abhijeet Sarode (12 n.o) ensured target is achieved without much trouble.
