Nagpur: The 128th birth anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was celebrated with great enthusiasm at various Bouddh Vihars and many other areas in the city.
The portraits of Dr. Ambedkar kept at various Bouddh Vihars and statue at Samvidhan chowk was offered garlands by the people.
Dr. Ambedkar’s statue at the Samvidhan Square was offered floral tributes by Bharip Bahujan Mahasangh Vanchit Aghadi party along with other government officials.
Other who paid rich tributes to Dr. Ambedkar includes, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Vidarbha Sahitya Sangh, Collector office, Maharashtra Navniram Sena, etc.
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was an Indian jurist, economist, politician and social reformer who inspired the Dalit Buddhist movement and campaigned against social discrimination towards the untouchables (Dalits). He also played a big role in supporting the rights of women and labour.
