Nandanvan police have booked three members of Wasnik family for allegedly abetting daughter-in-law to commit suicide.
Newlywed Pratiksha Rahul Wasnik (22) committed suicide on May 5, this year at her house in Wathoda by consuming poison.
On the basis of preliminary reports, cops registered a case of accidental death and started the probe.
During the investigation, police learnt that Pratiksha’s spouse Rahul (27) and her in-laws Purva (50) and Siddhant Wasik (55) would torture her over money issues, leaving her no choice but to end her life, said police.
Nandanvan police have booked accused trio under Sections 304 (B), 306, 34 of the IPC.
Youth duped of Rs 50,900 on pretext airline job
Two trickster women duped a Khamla based youth to the tune of Rs 50,900 on the pretext of providing him job at Indigo Air Lines under the jurisdiction of Pratap Nagar police.
Complainant, Amol Shashikant Hastakshar (24), a resident of Plot. No. 55, Ramkrushna Nagar, Khamla told police that he had received a call from Future Job Solution.
The company’s representative, Shweta had told him that there’s an opening for a post of manager at Indigo Air Lines. Excited over the job opportunity, the 24-year-old expressed his will to join the prominent airline.
Shweta, subsequently arranged an interview for the complainant. During the interview process he, spoke to Neha Singh, who posed herself as an HR of the Indigo Airlines. However, in the meantime both Shweta and Neha siphoned Rs 50, 900 from the victim owing to various reasons.
When Amol never received any confirmation letter from the duo, realized that it was a fraud. He filed a complaint with Pratap Nagar police station.
Cops have booked accused Shweta and Neha under Sections 419, 420, 34 of the IPC. Further probe is underway.
Friend dupes man of Rs 85 lakh on pretext of opening plastic factory
A city based man was tricked by none other than his friend, who duped him to the tune of Rs 85 lakh on the pretext of opening a plastic firm in Butibori between November 2014 and May, this year.
Police have booked accused Rajesh Hiralal Naikale, a resident of 102, Seva Sadan Building, CA road regarding this connection.
According to police, the accused had an idea that his friend, a 39-year-old complainant Navin Rajanlal Pure, a resident of Plot. No. 528, near Sharda Mata Mandir had plans to open a plastic factory in Butibori.
Following the hints, he proposed to complainant to allow him work on the plastic factory plan as a partner. Owing to long the friendship, the 39-year-old failed oppose to his friend’s wish.
Over the years, the accused siphoned Rs 85 lakhs from the complainant but failed to lay foundation of the firm. Following which, complainant asked the accused to pay him back in February 2017. However, the accused sought more time to return money and hand over fabricated papers of the factory to the complainant.
Following the complainant of 39-year-old Pure, Tehsil police have booked accused Naikale under Sections 420,465,467,468,471 of the IPC and started the probe.
