Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University has given a major relief to research scholars doing PhD. From now on, they will not have to wait for a long to get the PhD registration letter and run from pillar to post at the PhD cell.
For this, the University PhD Cell is making new arrangements to implement new rule. According to this, only after the presentation of synopsis to the Research Accreditation Committee (RRC), the registration letter will be given to the researcher. The committee will make it clear immediately after the presentation that the researcher will be allowed to do research or not. If study is approved, then the research scholar will be given registration letter immediately.
According to the present system, a meeting of RRC was convened first. After the meeting, the aspiring research scholar was informed through post whether his research has been approved or not. This process takes a lot of time. The meeting of the RRC continues for more than one month. After this, the PHD cell prepares letter for all the researchers. Then the approval of concerned officers is taken on it.
After approval, both RRC’s decision and registration letter are uploaded on the website of the University. Also, the postal registration letter is sent to the searchers. Many times researchers could not even get the registration letter. In this situation, they have to move from pillar to post at the PHD cell.
