Reckless driving claimed life of two men and injured one person in two separate incidents reported under the jurisdiction of Beltarodi and Lakadganj police on Monday.
Deceased were identified as Vinod Kanaiyalal Roy (32) a resident of Gopal Nagar, Zenda Square and Vikas Harishchandra Larokar (35), a resident of Pardi.
Vinod was driving home on his Discover bike (MH/31/EC/8042) when near Chichbhavan bridge a recklessly driven trailer (MH/40/BL/8306) knocked him down. As a result Vinod died on the spot. Beltarodi cops have booked accused driver Ajaykumar Nandabhai Ahirwar (22), a native of Madhya Pradesh (MP) and began the probe.
In similar turn of events, an auto carrying goods (MH/49/D/5206) dashed a Hero Honda Splender plus near Harihar Mandir on old Bhandara road on which Vikas and his friend Rahul was heading towards Power House Square. However, Rahul survived the mishap but severely injured Vikas died on the spot.
Lakadganj police have booked accused driver under relevant Sections of IPC and started the probe.
Girl’s kin booked for attacking boyfriend, his mother in Koradi
Koradi police rounded up a father-son duo for allegedly attacking a 34-year-old man and his mother with iron rods on Monday morning.
Koradi police have booked accused Punaram Maraskolhe (45) and his son Sunil (21) under section 326, 324, 34 of IPC.
According to police sources, Krishna Bhagwandas Yadav (34), had a love affair with a girl from Maraskolhe family. However, girls’ father Punaram Maraskolhe and bother Sunil never liked their relationship.
Furious due to which, Punaram and Sunil picked up a fight with Krishna at around 11 am of Monday. The accused duo manhandled Krishna and also hurled abuses at him. Soon both Punaram and Sunil started attacking Krishna with iron rods. Krishna’s mother who ran for her son’s help was also attacked by the accused duo with the rods.
Following the complaint of 34-year-old, Koradi police, who have booked the accused father-son duo under sections 326, 324, 34 of the IPC and started the probe.
Youth rapes woman on pretext of marriage
Yashodharanagar police have booked a 25-year-old youth for allegedly raping a 29-year-old woman after befriending her on social network site Facebook between November 2017 and February 2018.
Cops have booked accused Sumit Dayaram Mahadushinde (25), a resident of Plot. No.43, Shivshakti Nagar, Wanjari Lay-out under section 376, 506 of IPC.
According to police sources, accused met the 29-year-old survivor on Facebook, back in year 2017. The duo then exchanged the numbers and soon developed a love affair. In the meantime, the accused took the survival to serial places including his home and sexually exploited her. As the accused had promised her to marry him, the survivor remained up for all those time.
However, this year when the complainant approached him with marriage offer, the accused started avoiding her texts and phone calls. Sensing something amiss, the survivor then approached Yashodharanagar police.
4 booked for abducting, thrashing and threatening 55-year-old man in Pachpaoli
Pachpaoli police have booked four persons for their alleged involvement in kidnapping, threatening and thrashing of a 55-year-old Sindhi Colony based man.
Pachpaoli police have booked accused Praveen Daryani (39), Ravi Daryani (32), Babbu Bir (32) and Navjot Singh Ladi (35) all residents of Jaripatka under section 365, 384, 452, 504, 506, 323, 34 of the IPC.
According to police, Ishwar Pahalajraj Kungwani (55) a resident of Sindhi Colony, Ashok Square was at home on Sunday when at around 2.30 pm all the approached his home. The accused forced him to seat on their motorcycle and took him inside a hut at an isolated place, where all the accused then allegedly thrashed him and threatened to kill him, if he refused to pay them money.
However, Ishwar somehow managed to flee from the hut and approached Pachpaoli police and registered an offence.
