Ace biker of Nagpur, Jatin Jain participated in the Desert Storm Rally, covering a distance of 2000 km in a span of 4 days, competing against India’s best 40 bikers in the most adverse conditions with 50 degrees temperature in the Thar deserts of Rajasthan, where only 16 dare devils could finish the race out of 40 competitors in the Moto Category.
The Desert Storm Rally an event inscribed on the National Calendar of the FMSCI was organised by the Northern Motorsports Association which started from Bikaner and ended at Jaisalmer in Rajasthan.
In the 2019 edition of Desert Storm there was a Marathon Stage of 190 km in Jaisalmer, where the competitors had to cross major sand sections and sandy dunes making it more difficult for the bikers in the extreme heat conditions. To test the real substance and limits of the man and his machine no stoppage was given to the “Moto Group A’ bikers during the 190 km Marathon Stage. For others Groups, stoppage of 15 minutes was given to get hydrated and refueling.
While on the 190 Marathon Stage a fellow rider and Jatin’s own competitor had lost his navigation and could not handle the marathon stage. Jatin who was leading the race till then, displayed his true sportsman’s spirits, lost those most precious and valuable time helping his fellow rider which resulted him to sit back at the second position.
