More than 3000 students along with their parents attended orientation programme of Allen Career Institute, which prepares for premier Engineering and medical colleges including IITs and AIIMS. The programme was organised recently at Dr Vasantrao Deshpande Hall. The programme was launched by Allen senior Vice President and renowned motivator C R Choudhary, who deliberated about the system, values and culture that Allen stands for – Positivity, Focus, Discipline and the holistic way of preparing for competitive exams.
Choudhary shared strategies for qualifying exams like IITs and AIIMS.
“Cracking IIT entrance exam requires creativity while AIIMS demands speed and accuracy,” he said.
He said that students should develop emotional and intelligence quotients to succeed in life.
“A student’s relationship with the teacher enhances the Intelligence Quotient while parents cultivate the Emotional Quotient. Your current success and failures don’t determine your future. Prepare tirelessly. Parents must ensure an optimistic outlook irrespective of current shortcomings,” he said.
Allen Vice Presidents Pankaj Agarwal and Tushar Parekh also addressed the gathering. While Pankaj Agarwal highlighted the importance of following Allen’s values and ethos, Tushar Parekh introduced the pre-nurture career foundation programme and preparation of competitive exams like NTSE, KVPY and Olympiads.
Nagpur centre head Ashutosh Hisaria and mentor Vikas Singhal also guided on the importance of providing a conducive environment for students at the centre for achieving success.
