Every day thousands of passengers travel from one place to another from the three chambers of South-East Central Railway. An important responsibility of maintaining the safety of all the passengers lies above the personnel of the Railway Protection Force and the Government Railway Police (GRP), for which they are working round the clock.
To make this work smoothly, the personnel of Railway Safety Force and GRP have deployed their troops on the railway stations and have installed CCTVs cameras. Every person entering to the railway station premises are been closely watched through the surveillance cameras.
To ensure 100% security of the passengers the Railway Protection Force of the three boards of South Eastern Central Railway has installed 411 CCTV cameras at 16 important stations. Any suspicious activity if caught on the cameras, an immediate action would be taken after the cognizance of the same.
In Itawari station 19 CCTV cameras have been installed whereas, 13 in Kamptee, 13 in Tumsar, 87 in Gondia, 12 in Balaghat,15 in Dongargarh, 15 in Rajnandgaon, 13 in Bhandara and 8 in Chindwara, similarly in other 9 important stations of Nagpur division.
A total of 195 CCTV cameras have been installed in the stations.
