Dr Ambedkar College Sports Academy (DACSA) defeated Sahas Club by 69 runs to enter the semi-finals in Sharad Bhake Memorial Inter-Club Under-13 Cricket Tournament on Thursday.
The semis will be played on Friday. Citi Gymkhana will play Ruby Sporting Club at Citi Gymnkhana ground while
DACSA will take on Reshimbagh Gymkhana at SBCA ground.
Batting first DACSA scored 187 for nine in 30 overs. Iknoor Singh scored fabuloushalf century (62, 56b, 10×4). He was ably supported by Suleman Ali Khan (43, 58b, 6×4). For Sahas, Kartikeya Kurwale and Priyanshu Kumbhalkar claimed two wickets each. In reply, Sahas were restricted to 118 for 8. Priyanshu Umbarkar remained unbeaten on 37 whereas Mohan Chambhare contributed 15. For DACSA, Iknoor Singh (3 for 18) was the main wicket taker. Archit Dhoke and Prathmesh Tiwari too bowled well and got two each.
Central Railway defeated PHCA by five wickets. Batting first PHCA scored 189 for 5. Shivam Joshi played an unbeaten knocked of 63. Aryan Hirani (42) and Vyankatesh Dandekar (31) were other scorers.
For Central Railway Zaid Shheikh (3 for 51) was the most successful bowlers. In reply, Central Railway achieved the tartet losing five wickets. Krishna Tiwari ( 88, 74 b,11×4) played match winnning knock. Yash Chaware (35) too batted well. For PHCA, Ayush Kumar ( 2/43) was the main wicket taker.
In another match, Shree Sports Academy recorded 130-run victory over Bhaskar Joshi XI. Shree Sport won the toss and elected to bat first. They piled up 239 for 7 in 30 overs. Thanks to Shlok Sancheti who slammed 49-ball 84 hitting 14 boundaries and one six. Akshad Choudhary remained not out on 46. For Joshi XI, Atharva Chandel (3 for 12) and Shashwat Joshi (2 for 31) were the main wicket taker.
In reply, Joshi XI was bundled out for 109 in 212 overs. Only Rajesh Bhalle (21) and Shashwat Joshi (11) showed some resistance.
