DAIMSR organises a faculty development workshop

Recently, a 8 Days Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Research Methods, Quality Publications and Pedagogy (RMQPP-2019)” was conducted at Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Management Studies and Research (DAIMSR), Nagpur, to promote quality research and adopt the new trends in the pedagogy.

This ‘Faculty Development Program’ was an initiative taken by Research Cell of DAIMSR, under the guidance of Dr. N. M. Kulkarni and Dr. S. G. Metre. The sessions were divided in to three domains, Research Methodology, IPR and Moodle development. 35 faculty members attended the sessions. Experts in various domains conducted the sessions on the topics. Dr. Ashutosh Paturkar and Prof. Rinki Mulchandani – Case development, Dr. S. G. Metre – identifying research topics, Dr. Gaythri Band and Dr, Rahul Mohare – SPSS, Dr. Ashish Linge- Sample design and hypothesis testing, Dr. Dipesh Uike- Hypothesis formulation, Dr. M. Siddique- creating quality publication, Prof. Hemant Deshmukh- Chi square, Dr. Mangala Hirwade- Plagiarism.

Dr. Rekha Sharma conducted hands on training programme on MOODLE development. This FDP session turned out to be a very fruitful experience for the entire Faculty of the institute and boosted their morale for publishing research papers in Scopus/SCI indexed Journals.

At the closing ceremony Dr. N.M.Kulkarni (Associate Director, DAIMSR), stated “We want our faculties to come up with quality research papers with practical application. The teaching pedagogies used by them should be interactive & interesting for the students”. Vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Pallavi Badre.
