Dr Ambedkar College Sports Academy (DACSA) defeated Citi Gymkhana by 17 runs to win Sharad Bhake Memorial Inter-Club Under-13 Cricket Tournament at Vidya Vihar ground, Pratap Nagar here on Saturday.
Batting first after winning the toss DACSA scored 162 for 5 in 30 overs. In-form batsman Iknoor Singh scored unbeaten 66 hitting six boundaries. Sultan Chimthanwala (35, 40b, 3×4, 1×6) and Abhishek Kanitkar (11) were other scorers.
For Citi Gymkhana Prathmesh Tirpude claimed two wickets for 22 runs whereas Krish Bhati, jay Pathak and Shoren Gulhane were chipped in with one each. In reply, Citi Gymkhana was all out for 145 in 29.3 overs.
Harshil Deshpande (36, 62 b, 3×4), Siddhesh Singh (29, 32b, 2×4, 1×6) and Parikshit Nimbalkar (27, 42 b, 4×4) were main scorers. For DACSA Iknoor Singh (3 for 34) were the most successful bowlers. Former Vidarbha cricketer Murtirajan, former corporator Gopal Bohare, Mohabe and Purushottam Joshi distributed the prizes.
Iknoor Singh of DACSA who scored 237 and took 11 wickets was declared man-of-the-series. Best batsman prize went to Adhyan Rauthan (227 runs) of Ruby Sporting. Shorin Gulhane of Citi Gymkhana was declared best bowler for taking 12 wickets.
