To mark the centenary of the “Jallianwala Bagh Massacre” a “Summer Handicraft and Painting Training Workshop†has been organised by South-Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC) from May 20 to May 26, 2019, at SCZCC premises, Civil Lines.
The workshop had commenced on May 20 by lighting the traditional lamp at the hands of Former flight Lieutenant Shivali Deshpande, International Senior Painter Pramod Babu Ramteke, Program Committee Member Rajashree Shirke, Programme Committee Member Krishna Verma, D.M.M.Sc. Center director Dr. Deepak Khirwadkar, Deputy Director Mohan Parakhy, Programm Officer Gopal Betwar.
On the occasion Former Flight Lt Shiwali Deshpande, through her powerful incarnation of Jallianwala Bagh informed the attendees about the massacre.
In the workshop, martyrs of Jallianwala Bagh Massacre were paid tribute by presenting acts on patriotism. Â A total of 300 had participated in the workshop, which last till May 26.
The participants are lauded for their skills and efforts. Interested participants can visit the workshop workshop from 3 to 5 in the afternoon and 5.30 to 7.30 in evening.
22 specialists from 14 states of India who are known for their expertise in artwork will be guiding the participants with their expertise. The experts are from Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh and many more.
