Gittikhadan police have booked a Teka Nagar based man for sexually exploiting a 32-year-old woman over false marriage promise between April 2011 and 2019.
Cops have booked accused Sanghratna Anil Gajbhiye under section 376, 420, 507, 506 of IPC.
According to police sources, the survivor reportedly met the accused back in 2011 through a common friend. Soon the duo started talking on social media platforms and later developed a love affair.
In the meantime, accused had expressed his sexual desire towards the 32-year-old survivor. As he promised to marry her, the complainant also gave consent to his advances. However, when the complainant expressed her will to marry him this year the accused stopped entertaining her and also stopped taking her calls and texts.
Sensing something amiss, she approached his residence but he refused to meet her. Subsequently, she rushed to Gittikhdan police and filed a complaint against the accused.
Mumbai based tricksters duped city biz man of Rs 5 crore
Lakadganj police have rounded up two Mumbai based men for allegedly defrauding a city based businessman of Rs 5 crore between 2017 and 2019. The compliant has been lodged on Thursday.
Cops have booked accused Dina Krishna Das (35), a resident of Washi and Nirav Hiralal Sanghavi (40) a resident of Ghatkopar under section 406, 420, 34 of IPC.
According to police sources, complainant Ashok Kumar Agrawal (49) a resident of Jagjivan Ram Nagar, near Garoba Maidan owns a factory in Kapsi and has one office in Mumbai too.
The complainant had appointed the accused duo to manage his firm in Mumbai. However, both the accused defrauded the middle aged complaint and duped him of Rs 5 crore in over the years.
