It was a proud moment for the students of Pratibha Nritya Mandir, Nagpur as they brought laurels by winning several awards in Bharatanatyam category in an All India Multilingual Dance, Drama, Music Contest and Fest organized by Akhil Bharatiya Sanskrutik Sangh held in Pune from May 21to 23.
Jahnavi Borale and Sharwaree Luhure bagged 2nd and 3rd prize respectively in Solo Bharatanatyam Junior Category. Indrakkhi Sarkar and Jyothi Nair won 3rd prize in duet junior category while students who performed in duets Avani Gupta, Adya Dhoble, Anakha Pillai and Smiti Bajirao bagged Chairman’s Award.
Two groups participated in Junior Category where they won 1st and 2nd Best Award.
‘Saraswathi Stuthi’ one of the dance piece in Bharatnatyam was performed by Adya Dhoble, Smiti Bajirao, Teertha Menon, Avani Gupta, Anakha Pillai and Siddhi Krishnakumar while ‘Thillana’ another dance piece in Bharatnatyam was performed by students Ritika Surve, Rishika Surve, Madhura Gajbhiye, Sharwaree Luhure, Arya Bansod and  Sarthika Sakhare. Everyone enjoyed and praised their performance to the fullest.
The students received awards at the hands of Eric Falt, UNESCO Director and Representative for a region covering Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
Students were successfully guided and mentored by Guru Ratnam Janardhanan, Director, Pratibha Nritya Mandir.
