A 35-year-old man was murdered with sharp edge weapons under the jurisdiction of Kalamna police on Saturday night.
The deceased had been identified as Virendra Tarachand Nakhate, a resident of Plot. No. 77, near Kajal Bear Bar.
According to police sources, some locals alerted them about the murder at around 7pm on Saturday. Subsequently cops rushed to the spot and discovered blood socked body of Virendra. Cops also found severe head injuries on Virendra’s head.
Kalamna police have registered a case under section 302 against the antisocial elements and started the investigation.
Former girlfriend, her kin booked for abetting youth’s suicideÂ
Nandanvan police have booked three people of a family for allegedly abetting suicide of a 21-year-old youth.
According to police sources, Gopal Rampal Verma (21), a resident of Hivri Nagar had committed suicide on February 8 by hanging himself at his home. Back then, Nandavan police registered a case of accidental death and started the investigation. However, during the probe, it was revealed that Gopal and Ishika were in relationship from past few years. However, when Ishika backed out of the relationship and her family members Vijay and Minu asked Ishika to tie rakhi on Gopal’s hand. This torture had led a 21-year-old to take the extreme step.
Cops have booked accused Ishika Rajesh Agrawal (20), a resident of Vanketesh Nagar, Vijay Ishwardas Agrawal and his spouse Minu both residents of Krishna Apartment, Deputy Signal Square in this connection.
Woman raped over false marriage promise in Kalamna
Kalamna police have rounded up a 20-year-old youth for sexually exploiting a girl over a period of one year by promising her to tie a nuptial knot with her.
Cops have booked accused Amresh Charndaman Prasadpande, a resident of Sudam Nagar under section 376, 504,506 of the IPC.
According to police source, Amresh and survivor had met back in March 2018. Subsequently, duo gradually developed a love affair. Owning to which accused had expressed his sexual desire towards the survivor. As Amresh had promised to marry her the survivor gave her consent. Following the accused reportedly raped her between May 2018 and May 2019. But when he refused to marry the survivor, left with no other options survivor approached Kalamna police station.
Buldhana woman relieved of gold chain in Pratapnagar
Nephew’s weeding turned out a costly affair for a Buldhana based middle aged woman as she was relieved of a gold chain worth Rs 40,000 in the wee hours of Sunday under the jurisdiction of Pratapnagar police.
According to police sources, Seemadevi Deghambhar Ramchandrani (55) a native of Bhuldhana was in the city to attend her nephew’s weeding. Done after the wedding proceedings Seemadevi was heading to her brother’s house in the wee hours of Sunday. At around 00.15am when she reached Khamla road some unidentified bike-born approached her and snatched away her gold chain before she could raised an alarm.
Following the complaint of Seemadevi, Pratapnagar police have booked the unidentified miscreant under section 392 of the IPC.
