Aquatic Association of Nagpur (AAN) in association with Shree Rajput Karni Sena, WCL and MOIL is organising Vidarbha-level Swimming Competition on June 8 and 9 at The Jain International School, Katol road.
Around 250 swimmers from all over Vidarbha are expected to participate in the two-day event that will be organised in various age categories including Under-9, Under-11, Under-14 and Under-19 for boys and girls. The winners, runner-up and second runners-up in each event will get medals. Apart from it the best swimmer in each category will be honoured.
Free accommodation will be provided to the outstation swimmers on the school premises. The participants can participate in all the events in respective age group and record their timing for proposed Swimming Premier League.
Choudhary said WCL CMD Rajiv Ranjan Mishra and WCL CMD Mukul Choudhury will inaugurate the competition on June 8 at 4 p.m. WCL director (personnel) Dr Sanjay Kumar and MOIL director (HR) Usha Singh will grace the prize distribution function to be held on June 9 at 1 p.m. The entry fee will be Rs 100 along with registration free of Rs 50.
