An 85-year-old woman was robbed of gold chain, when she went for a walk near Revti Nagar Garden on Tuesday night under the jurisdiction of Beltarodi police.
The cops have booked the unidentified accused under Section 379 of the IPC regarding this connection.
As per the information, Sunanda Ramkrushna Nandurkar (85), a resident Flat. No. 309 Siddhesai Krupa Apartment had gone for a walk on Tuesday night. At around 8 pm when the old aged woman reached Revti Nagar Garden, under Beltarodi police, a bike-born aged between 20-22, approached her from opposite direction and snatched away her gold chain worth Rs 20,000 before she could raise an alarm.
 Man robbed of gold chain at Shankar Nagar
Some unidentified bike reportedly snatched away a gold chain of a 28-year-old man when was returning home on Tuesday night. The incident reported under the juridstiction of Bajaj Nagar police.
According to police sources, complainant Nitin Ramakant Awasthi (28), a resident of Samadhan Nagar Flat. No. 11 along with his two friends was heading towards home. When at around 11.30 pm some unidentified biker on Pulser 220 approached him from behind near Kamlakar Complex in Shankar Nagar and snatched away his gold chain worth Rs 55,000. However, the trio tried to follow the accused, but the miscreant managed to zoom away in no time.
Woman raped, threatened in Ambazari, one booked
A 26-year-old woman was raped and threatened by a man who reportedly promised her to marry her between July 2016 and March 2019 under the jurisdiction of Ambazari police.
Cops have booked accused Gautam Bhatkar (45) a resident of Gokulpeth in this connection.
According to police sources, the duo basically belonged to same city. The accused had reportedly promised the survivor to marry and to get a government job and was sexually exploiting her. As he had promised the complainant to tie a knot she gave him consent. However, when the victim approached him with marriage proposal he reportedly denied her proposal and threatened her of dire consequences if she reveals anything.
Housebreaking in Bajaj Nagar
Some unidentified miscreants had reportedly gained entry in a under construction house in Somalwada under the jurisdiction of Bajaj Nagar police and fled with gold oramnets worth Rs 1.70 lakh between May 10 and May 28 this year.
Cops have booked the unidentified burglars under section 454, 457, 380 of the IPC.
According to police, complainant Hemant Ramesh Bhatt (32), a resident of Bante Lay-out in Solmanwada had conducted renovation at his house between May 10 and 28 this year. During the same some unidentified miscreants had sneaked inside his house and decamped with the gold ornaments worth Rs 1.70 lakh kept in cupboard.Â
Tehsil clerk in ACB net for accepting Rs 20,000 bribe
Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday arrested a 27-year-old Tehsil clerk red-handed while accepting bribe of Rs 20,000. The accused identified as Nitesh Rupchand Manmode had demanded the money from the complainant to extend the seizure drive on his newly bought property.
According to sources, the complainant owns a flat in Pancham Apratment in Dixit Nagar on Nari Road. However, due to some financial crises, the complainant failed to pay his loan installments. Following which he received a letter from the Collector Office seeking to clear his pending dues till June 1 regarding the property or else face seizure action from the department.
Following which, the complainant approached Collector Office in Civil Lines where he met accused clerk Nitesh. Complainant who sought some time to clear the pending bills was asked to pay Rs 20,000 by Nitesh. Following which the complainant had lodged compliant with ACB on Tuesday. After investigating into the matter, the sleuths of the ACB laid a trap on Wednesday afternoon and caught accused Nitesh red-handed while accepting bribe of Rs 20,000.
