Choosing career is often an easy part but now as one has a vast variety of career option it is seen that students face difficulties and are confused in choosing a prominent career option according to their skills.
Hitesh Dewani from career mentors informed that there are two types of career categories; one is conventional career while the other is unconventional career. These careers options, comes with many pros and cons in every field.
The conventional career option has streams like Engineering, Medical, Charted Accounted, CS and many more. Whereas in Unconventional career option one deals in Law, Integrated Program in management, Designing, Mass Communication, Hotel Management and many more.
Each field requires dedication, time and practice it is then when one succeeds in their respective field. The time has come when engineering is heading towards a saturation point, with only 20% of students involved in engineering field while rest 80% of the students are scattered due to the type of jobs they get.
“Anything which is replaced by technology will always be replaced by technologyâ€, students should pursue a career option that are independent from technology. Further coming down we have two type of education system
- Product Base Education
- Service Base Education
The product base education system is more prominent way and is on a bloom while service based education is on the way of depletion due to lack of demand. Earlier the profile which was once considered as a prestigious one has now flooded the market, which is the reason why conventional career options see a drop in number of students day by day.
Apart from a conventional career here are some unconventional career options that were lost but now have seen a sudden boom as more and more students are turning towards it as they get a vast spectrum to explore.
Law with a diverse career prospects, offers a varied of services in different firm which involves Litigation, Corporate, International Law Firms, Civil Services with Law one can get entry in these firms as a helping hand to deal with numerous situations.
Integrated program in management is a 5-year programme consisting 15 terms, aimed at students who have passed out of XII/higher education. This course is intended for students who want to eventually pursue a management education of a world-class level in a shorter span than the standard management pursuing avenues. The highest package for an IPM candidate went up to Rs. 42 lakhs per annum with two international roles for IPM candidates.
Hotel management is a vast growing career option. Along with hospitality and management it gives ample of exposure to the students. With hospitality services involved in different fields many job vacancies are coming up with some promising service provided to the employees.
Mass Communication is one of the widely acquired markets as what we see on TV is all a part of Mass communication and the world depends on it. In this, one gets a wide spectrum of jobs as TV Correspondent, Public Relation Officer, Cinematography and films, News Analyst, Journalist, Adverting and many more.
