The ​​Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation under the South-East Central Railway (SECR), is planning to install 68 Reverse Osmosis (RO) water machines at all the SECR stations, as part of its efforts to ensure clean drinking water at low cost in rail premises across the country.
The water dispensed through these RO machines will be much cheaper than bottled mineral water.
According to rates fixed by IRCTC, a glass of half a litre water will cost Rs 3, a litre will be available Rs 5, two litres for Rs 8 and a can for Rs 20.
Some of the stations and the number of RO machines installed there includes, 8 machines in  Billaspur station, 4 in Raigarh, 2 in Champa station, 2 in Shahdol station and 1 in Korba, Akaltra and Pendrarod Station.
