‘One Date, One Hour’ Campaign Across All 10 Zones Today
With the onset of the monsoon season and the increased risk of infectious diseases, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), in association with Nagpur Smart City, will launch a special month-long cleanliness drive from July 1 to July 31 under the theme ‘Adopt Cleanliness, Drive Away Illness’.
The campaign aims to create public awareness on six key health-related practices: maintaining hand hygiene, keeping homes and surroundings clean, ensuring toilet cleanliness, cleaning drains and wastewater areas, and avoiding filth in public places. The initiative will be implemented under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Dr. Abhijit Chaudhari, who has appealed to citizens to actively participate and support the drive.
The campaign is being conducted as part of the Swachh Survekshan to prevent seasonal diseases and promote better hygiene during the rainy season.
