The draw for second round of admissions under Right to Education (RTE) Act would be announced on Saturday.
The education department on Friday said, 25 percent seats in the private schools were reserved for the economically weaker sections and after successful completion of first round, the draw for second round of admission would be announced on June 15. After the draws would be opened, parents who had applied for admission of their wards would get information about the allocated school through SMS.
In Nagpur district, 675 schools are registered under RTE. They have a total intake capacity of 7204 seats. The education department has received over 26000 applications for admissions to these seats.
In the first round, seats were allocated to 5701 students and by May 10 3904 took admission. The remaining seats are vacant. Sources said, all the pending seats would be covered in the second round of admission. Parents who were deprived of the benefit due to incorrect tagging in Google map.
