A villager aged 65 was killed in a man- animal conflict in Bor Wildlife Sanctuary, on June 17. The deceased identified as Vithoba Vadule was attacked by the animal in sector 49 of Dhanoli, of Bor Sanctuary.
As per the reports, the attack is suspected to be by a tiger aged 4, as the body of the deceased has four teeth wounds, deep inside on the neck portion. However, it is still not confirmed that if the tiger was male and female. The process to trace the animal is underway with the help of the cameras installed in the jungle premises.
According to primary investigation, Dhanule was attacked on his farm after which his body was dragged till at least 200 meters. The bloodstains can be seen on the sight of the incident.
The relatives and family members of Dhanule are compensated by the forest department with 50000 rupees.
