VIA Lady Entrepreneurs Wing organized a talk on the topic “Strategic Marketing Communication†by Dr. Ashutosh Paturkar, Prof & Dean Academics, Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Management Studies & Research under the able leadership of Reeta Lanjewar, President, VIA LEW.
Dr. Ashutosh Paturkar is a well-known orator and Trainer  and  his core areas are Strategic management and Marketing Management.
Dr. Ashutosh Paturkar believes – communication is the best thing to happen to mankind. He explained the Marketing Perspective of Communication which includes Advertising, Sales promotion, Public relations, Events & Experiences, Direct and interactive marketing, Word of mouth, Personal selling.
He said the marketing communication should be customer driven.The customer wants clear brand promise and offerings they value.
Today consumers take a much more iterative and less reductive decision of four stages – Consider, Evaluate, Buy & Engage/Advocate/Bond. He had thrown light on CDP driven Strategy which has 3 parts – 1. Understanding your consumer’s decision process, 2. Determining which touch points are priorities and how to leverage them and 3. Allocating resources accordingly
While explaining the Strategy he said, Customize the approach according to customer category, brand position and channel relationships while explaining the importance of reviews in decision making process of today’s consumer he said – You may win consideration for a brand, but if the product gets weak reviews – or worse or is not even discussed online – it’s unlikely to survive the winnowing process. He very aptly covered the vast topic.
Under ‘Words of Wisdom’ initiative by LEW –  Shefali Dudhbade, Secretary of NGO Swacch Nagpur, conducted a very good session on “Solid waste managementâ€. She is an Architect and Interior Designer by profession but now devoted herself to work for betterment of society. She shared the ideas on utilizing our waste and using it as a resource, getting rid of landfill sites with the hope of recycling most of the waste and converting it into energy. She emphasized on Segregation of Waste at source itself so that we can reduce the volume of waste sent to landfills by approximately 80%.
At the outset, Reeta Lanjewar, Chairperson of VIA LEWgave the opening remarks and welcomed the guests with floral compliments. Program was conducted by Neelam Bowade, Past President, VIA LEW. Manisha Bawankar, Secretary, VIA LEW proposed vote of thanks. Prominently present were VIA LEW Executive members namely Madhubala Singh, Shachi Malik, Anjali Gupta, Anita Rao,  Manisha Bawankar, Poonam Lala, Rashmi Kulkarni, Yogita Deshmukh. The Program was attended by large number of member entrepreneurs and Students.
